๐ฎ๐ณ BJP slams IUML over Vande Mataram stance
The BJP has accused the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) of mirroring Muhammad Ali Jinnahโs stance by objecting to the full singing of the national song Vande Mataram. K.K. Surendran, the BJP Palakkad zonal general secretary, claimed the IUML seeks to isolate the Muslim community from the national narrative. He pointed out that Muslims had sung the complete song between 1896 and 1937 without compromising their beliefs. Surendran further alleged that both the IUML and CPI(M) are using this issue for communal politics. He insisted that opposing the song at its 150th anniversary events is essentially rejecting nationalism. ๐ฎ๐ณ
