india π BJP leader asks CM to step in for village president
BJP leader Vanathi Srinivasan called for the Tamil Nadu CM's intervention regarding an incident in Villupuram district. The issue involves Malarvizhi, the 50-year-old village panchayat president of Kodunkal. This alleged oppression was highlighted following reports that she was prevented from her duties and hoisting the national flag. The media report also mentioned that she attempted to end her life at the Villupuram Collector office on August 31. Srinivasan used social media to point out the ongoing oppression faced by women and Scheduled Castes in power.
