📉 Big Tech Layoffs Hit India: Oracle & Microsoft Cut Jobs
Oracle is reportedly trimming around 3,000 roles in India as tech companies restructure their budgets. Meanwhile, Microsoft has placed about 500 employees in India on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). Market research firm EIIRTrend's CEO, Pareekh Jain, stated this could affect about 2% of Microsoft's India workforce. These layoffs reflect a broader trend of workforce reallocation within the tech industry globally. Companies are now shifting focus towards newer technological areas going forward.
