✈️ Bengaluru airport fee slash drops in September 2026
The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) has significantly reduced the User Development Fee at Bengaluru international airport. This change applies to domestic passengers at Rs 300 and international passengers at Rs 997 for the five-year period ending March 2031. The revised UDF takes effect from September 1, 2026, and also includes rationalized landing charges. AERA introduced an incremental ARR framework, meaning major project costs are recovered only after completion. This aims to protect users from premature tariffs and encourage timely project execution. ✈️
