science π°οΈ Astronaut spots heart-shaped lake from space π
ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot shared a striking photo of a heart-shaped lake observed from the ISS. This unusual sight was spotted in the Kyzylkum region of Kazakhstan. The lake, visible from nearly 400 kilometres up, features pink-and-red water due to minerals and tiny organisms. Adenot noted that even if itβs pareidolia, it serves as a reminder of what's worth fighting for. She hopes this view prompts people to care for the planet.
