business 🚦 Assam drivers wait for official word from Meghalaya
Assam State Drivers’ Association (ASDA) is waiting for a formal written communication regarding a proposed meeting with Meghalaya's taxi operators. ASDA President Dhrubaraj Axom stated that only verbal notification was received for the meeting set for August 26. This development follows the resumption of Assam tourist taxis into Meghalaya on August 24. The transport issue started after alleged violence during a Khasi Students’ Union rally on August 19. ASDA insists that any formal engagement requires a written request and agenda.
