πΎ AP makes Farmer ID mandatory for govt buying
The Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Department has made the Farmer ID mandatory for selling produce at government procurement centres. This mandate applies to farmers across Andhra Pradesh as part of the Kharif procurement season. Currently, 51.83 lakh farmers are registered against the state's target of 64.71 lakh IDs. This linkage is crucial given the Central share in crop procurement operations. Officials are now urging CSCs to help register the remaining farmers.
