The Andhra Pradesh government has promised support to FCV tobacco growers facing a market crisis. Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu made the assurance during a meeting held in Guntur on Monday. Purchases are set to start Tuesday at fixed rates, including โน230/kg for bright-grade tobacco. The state is also offering an extra โน1,000 a quintal for specific grades. Next season's cultivation will be capped at 80 million kg to manage excessive production.
