π©Ί Andhra Pradesh checks tribal welfare in Agency areas
The Scheduled Tribes Welfare Committee of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly has directed officials to fix issues found during a tour of Agency areas. Chairperson Miriyala Sirisha Devi led the panel, which inspected hospitals and welfare schools in Polavaram, Araku, Paderu, and Alluri Sitharama Raju districts. Officials are now tasked to resolve all shortcomings within three to four months before a follow-up visit. The committee also pushed for houses for landless families and employment units for tribal youth. A detailed report on the review will eventually be submitted to the Assembly Speaker and the State government.
