business 🧐 AG backs probe against Pinarayi Vijayan and family
The Advocate General of Kerala has legally advised initiating an FIR and investigation under the Prevention of Corruption Act. This action is suggested against Opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter T Veena, and son-in-law PA Mohamed Riyas. The ED's findings provide enough evidence to warrant a corruption case, as per the AG's report. This stems from the CMRL–Exalogic pay-off controversy involving alleged payments to Veena's IT firm. The ED conducted searches in August, seizing notes detailing transactions worth around Rs 20.05 crore.
