๐ Afghan general now drives Uber in DC ๐
Afghan General Haibatullah Alizai, who led a resistance against the Taliban takeover, is now driving Uber in Washington D.C. He fled Afghanistan in August 2021 during the US military withdrawal. Alizai, the last chief of staff of the Afghan army, landed in Kuwait before receiving asylum in the US. Finding work was tough due to background checks, and he remains separated from his family in India. He still holds hope for the future despite the Taliban's control.
