ποΈ Abdullah vows to fight for J&K statehood
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah confirmed his government and the National Conference will keep pushing for Statehood restoration. He made this statement on Thursday, August 6, 2026, while checking on relief work in the flood-hit Rajouri district. This comes after demonstrations across J&K on Wednesday demanding the return of Statehood. The NC has always kept the full Statehood restoration as a major political goal. They previously protested in New Delhi on July 20 to demand these constitutional rights.
