π‘ 16th-century house turns into family home
A Grade II-listed 16th-century longhouse in Suffolk was undergoing a major restoration project. Stuart Cadman of Cadman Construction managed this challenging heritage build, which would ultimately become his family residence. Initial discoveries revealed structural issues, including rotten softwood in the oak frame, leading to a six-month delay for approvals. The team cautiously repaired the ancient structure while integrating modern living spaces. This project successfully married centuries of history with contemporary comfort for the future. π‘
